About this tour

Day 01: Arrive Leh Arrive at Leh airport 3505 meters / 11567 feet.

Upon arrival at the airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Check into the hotel and relax for the first half to acclimatize your body.

Leh is a city in Indian-administered Ladakh, in the Kashmir region of India. It is the largest city and the joint capital of Ladakh. Leh, located in the Leh district, was also the historical capital of the Kingdom of Ladakh.

After lunch, visit the famous Shanti Stupa (a Japanese pagoda built for world peace by Indian-based Japanese monks and inaugurated by His Holiness Dalai Lama in 1985). Evening is a leisurely time to explore on your own. Overnight stay at the hotel (D)

Day 02:Leh Local sightseeing of sangam river-hall of fame-magnetic hill-pathar sahib.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Indus & Zanskar Sangam Rivers, drive along the Indus River, visit Pathar Sahib Gurdwara and Magnetic Hill (where the cars defy gravity), and further on to the Leh Hall of Fame (which has a museum of Kargil War memorabilia). Evening is a leisurely time to explore on your own. Overnight stay at the hotel (BD)

Day 03: Leh-Nubra Valley

After an early breakfast drive to Nubra Valley via Khardongla Pass (18,380 feet), the world’s highest motorable road and gateway to Siachen Glacier, the views from the top of the pass are amazing. Visit Deskit Monastery (118 km), founded by Lama Sherab Zangpo in 1420 A.D. Upon arrival, check in at your camp or hotel. Later, we will visit Hundar village (7 km from Deskit) and the Double-Humped Bactrian Camel Safari in the sand dunes at Hundar (on a direct payment basis). Dinner and overnight at the hotel or camp in Nubra. (BD)

Day 04: Nubra valley to pangong Lake via shayok.

After breakfast, drive to your next destination, Pangong Lake, via Shyok and onto Tang Tse and Spangmik (Pangong). It’s a short cut, and it’s a beautiful route. The road follows the Shyok River and climbs up a mountain before finally descending into Shayok village. It took us less than an hour to reach Shayok, and we were delighted at the sight of the rather big village surrounded by barren mountains, the entire setting being very picturesque. Afternoon, we reach Pangong Lake and enjoy your day at Pangong Lake. Overnight stay at camp. (BD)

Day 05: Pangong lake to Leh return via hemis and Overnight in hotel.

After breakfast, drive to Leh. You will cross Changla (elevation 5,360 or 17,590 ft) and, en route, visit Hemis monastery. Hemis is the largest and wealthiest monastery in Ladakh. From Hemis, visit Thiksey Monastery, located on a hilltop with formidable views of the Indus Valley. After that, we continue to drive through the series of Buddha stupas to visit Shey Palace, visit the                  and at last, visit Sindhu Darshan and then drop back to the Leh Hotel. Overnight stay in Leh Hotel.

Day 06: Leh airport drop and Fly back to home

After breakfast, we say our goodbyes and proceed to airport/railway station for onward destination.

Hit the road to the airport. Board our flight back home reminiscing the wonderful memories of the holiday and of course start planning the next trip. (B)
