Day-wise Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Bangalore –Ooty (270 KMS – Approx 6 Hours)

On arrival at Bangalore Airport or Railway Station, you will be transferred to Ooty. Upon arrival in Ooty, check-in at the hotel.

Ooty is a resort town in the Western Ghats mountains, in southern India’s Tamil Nadu state. Founded as a British Raj summer resort, it retains a working steam railway line. Other reminders of its colonial past include Stone House, a 19th-century residence, and the circa 1829 St. Stephen’s Church. Its 55-acre government botanical garden lies on the slopes of Doddabetta Peak.  In evening you can go and vist Ooty Lake. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

DAY 2: Ooty Sightseeing

After breakfast, proceed to visit full day sightseeing of includes, Dolphin Nose, Botanical Garden, Doddapeta peak, Sim’s Park Garden, Ooty Lake Boat House, Local market. The rest of the day is spent at leisure, and overnight at hotel (B).

DAY 3: Ooty – Coorg ( 240 Kms – Approx 6 Hours)

After breakfast, you will be met and transferred to Coorg.

Kodagu, also known as Coorg, is a rural district in the southwest Indian state of Karnataka. In the area’s north, Madikeri Fort has two life-size elephant statues at its entrance, plus a Gothic-style church with a museum on its grounds. Nearby, the Hindu Omkareshwara Temple dates back to the 19th century. Farther north are the domed Raja’s Tomb, a burial place of Kodava kings, and cascading Abbi Falls.

Upon arrival at Coorg, proceed to the sightseeing, including the Tibetan Monastery and Tibetan Market at Bylekuppe. Drive to the Hanging Bridge at Cauvery Nisargdhama and the Dubare Elephant Camp, which is primarily an elephant-capturing and training camp of the forest department at the edge of Dubare Forest. Experience whitewater rafting at Dubare Camp (on direct payment). After sightseeing, drive back to your hotel and check in. Overnight stay at the hotel. (B)

DAY 4: Coorg Sightseeing

After breakfast, proceed to the full day of sightseeing in Coorg, including the Abbey waterfalls, nestled between coffee and spice plantations. The waterfall is a combination of many streams that come together and fall into a pool of water that flows and merges into the River Kaveri, and Omkareshwar Temple (from 6:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.). Built in the 19th century, in 1820, by King Lingarajendra II, it presents an interesting architecture that attracts not only devotees but everyone. Irrespective of which faith you are from, its unique blend of Gothic and Islamic architecture, Madikeri Fort, is a historical landmark that stands in the center of Madikeri town. Later,  proceed to Raja Seat to witness the sun set. After sightseeing, return to the hotel for an overnight stay. (B)

DAY 5: Coorg – Shravanabelgola-  Bangalore ( 275 Kms – 6 hrs drive ) –By 8 pm drop at airport

After breakfast check out from your hotel and proceed to Bangalore via visiting the world’s largest monolith statue shravanabelgola the statue was carved during the period of Chamundaraya, a minister of the Ganga King Rajamalla between 982 and 983 CE. The statue is 58 feet tall and belongs to Gomateswara the son of the first Jain Tirtankara Vrishaba Deva . Later we say our goodbyes and proceed to airport/railway station for onward destination.

Hit the road to the airport. Board our flight back home reminiscing the wonderful memories of the holiday and of course start planning the next trip. (B)

IMPORTANT: VTPL will provide an alternate or similar category of hotel in case the hotel mentioned in the package is overbooked.

• Early check-in and late check-out is subject to availability and charges if any is not included in the package.
• Depending on feasibility the travel itinerary flow is subject to change.
• Incase there is any change in price the same will be communicated to yourself and only after your confirmation, we will proceed further. There will be no reduction for un-utilized services
